Permission for this trekking has to be taken from Srimangala Forest range Officer. The peak is just 270 kms from Bangalore. The presence of green lands in higher altitude has a very scenic beauty.

Pakshipathalam is another major attraction on the Kerala side of Brahmagiri range which is at a altitude of 1740 metres. The cave of Pakshipathalam was used by Gurus and Rishis also known as Minikal cave in Karnataka. Irrupu falls is very wonderful place to visit. Lord Rama and Lakshmana were in search of Sita when they are thirsty. Lord Lakshmana shot an arrow to Brahmagiri Hill from where Lakshmana Thirtha River flows into Kaveri River.

Tandiandamol Trek is one of the exciting trekking spot in Karnataka just 35 kms from Madikere. Nalaknad Palace is a must visit place around Tandiandamol. Prerequisite for trekking activities

While trekking don’t forget to take plenty of water, food, a flashlight, hat, sunscreens in summer and warm clothing’s in winter and rainy season.

Avoid trek hours between 10 am to 2 pm as the sun rays are stronger during these hours.

Early morning trek is really enjoyable and then you can take rest in the shade in the afternoon.

Coorg tourism encourages its visitors to go for Fishing and Angling in the back waters of river Kaveri at the Valnoor Fishing Camp. Species like Mahseer, Eels and Catfish are found in fresh water.
